We worked on the architect’s idea of the Marina Towers facade. The facade was made in cast Aluminium. A single unit of the facade made in 4 parts was 13X13ft. This building has 30 floors covered in intricately designed mashrabiya and a 4 sided façade. The façade design initially proposed in steel was converted to cast aluminium as the latter’s weight was 3 times lesser compared to the former.
Energy City in Doha is located between the commercial and residential area of the Dafna coastal region and the Lusail development district. It is the first business centre in the region dedicated to the hydrocarbon industry. Inside the office building the wire mesh MULTI-BARRETTE 8301 was used, which covers the wall like a transparent veil.
The bridge of the Dubai Mall was completed in 2019 and was designed by BSBG. It uses Rau Expanded Aluminium Metal Panels supplied by KAPHS, offering a modern interpretation of the traditional Middle-Eastern Mashrabiya. Widely used in cities with rough weather conditions, the metal sheets absorb heat while allowing cool air into the building.
Rau Expanded Metal Mesh was a fitting choice for the Tiara United Towers residential car park facility in Dubai. Here composed in a mosaic-like design on the façade, this metal structure was chosen by the architects of ADPI for its ability to increase ventilation and provide adequate shading.
The new Lulu Group Silicon Central Mall in Silicon Oasis was completed using our Rau Expanded Metal Mesh for the 40’000 sqm area of the outer skin. The innovative design of the project is well embedded in the iconography of the place.

The walls of the Qatar National Convention Center Theatre Hall are clad with bronze wire mesh type MULTI-BARRETTE 8123, which underlines the exclusivity of the ambience due it´s colour. The elegance of the wire mesh allows interaction with various light reflections and gives the mesh a unique aesthetic.
The wire mesh selected by Arata Isozaki & Associates was specifically designed for the acoustic requirements of the theatre. The mesh is coated with clear varnish, canted to the edges and glued into black-coated aluminium frames. Due to their structure, the wire mesh types combine air permeability and acoustic neutrality with an optically closed and homogeneous overall picture.
So as not to affect the homogeneous appearance of the decorative wire mesh claddings, HAVER & BOECKER developed a special invisible fastening system whereby the cassette elements remain removable.
